Summit VetPharm Appoints Two New Veterinarians to their Veterinary Services Staff

FT. LEE, NJ April 29, 2009 Summit VetPharm has announced the addition of Elizabeth M. Hodgkins, DVM, Esq. and Sherry L. Wilson, DVM to their Veterinary Services staff as of April 1, 2009. Drs. Hodgkins and Wilson will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the sales and marketing efforts using their veterinary expertise. Dr. Hodgkins is located in southern California and has responsibility for the west coast and Arizona sales territories, while Dr. Wilson is located in North Carolina and has responsibility for the southeastern United States.

Dr. Hodgkins is the owner of “All About Cats Health Center” in Yorba Linda, California and served as its Senior Clinician prior to joining Summit VetPharm. Previously, she served as the technical and professional services manager for Hill’s and held the position of the Executive Vice President, Claims and Compliance for Veterinary Pet Insurance. Additionally, Dr. Hodgkins has taught veterinary bacteriology, virology and parasitology to first year veterinary students and has both clinical and industrial experience. She is a graduate of the University of California, School of Veterinary Medicine, in Davis, California.

Dr. Wilson is the founder and owner of Pine Hollow Animal Hospital which she established in 1994. She conceived and implemented the Warren County Rabies Clinic which she continues to participate in along with being a former member of the Warren County Board of Health. Dr. Wilson is a graduate of North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

“In my new position at Summit VetPharm, I look forward to helping other veterinarians gain a better understanding of the technical aspects of the product and the benefits of having it available at their practice,” explains Dr. Wilson. She adds, “It is important that veterinarians understand the necessity of a flea and tick product such as Vectra in terms of preventing vector-borne diseases.”
