Protect Your Pet.

A fast-multiplying problem.

Fleas can multiply rapidly. Just one female can lay more than 25 eggs a day, which can add up to hundreds more fleas per month. Flea eggs fall off pets into their environment, where they hatch into tiny larvae that burrow into crevices and cracks, spin a cocoon, and become pupae.

Left untreated, pupae can lay dormant for a year or more, waiting for the right conditions and an unprotected pet to supply the blood they need to survive and reproduce.

Infestation increases the risk of disease transmission.

Monthly application of Vectra® can help protect your pets from hungry fleas, and prevent an infestation. If you already have a flea infestation however, Vectra alone will not solve the problem.
To get the flea population under control, you need to take additional steps:

  1. Treat all pets in your household with a flea control your veterinarian recommends.
  2. Vacuum places your cat resides.
  3. Clean furniture, bedding, carpet, throw rugs, closets, cars and pet carriers.
  4. Clear and treat shaded areas around your home such as under bushes, porches and in crawlspaces.

Remember, adult fleas are only 5% of a flea population so if you’re seeing fleas you may have a bigger problem than you realize. Ask your veterinarian to recommend a complete environmental program along with Vectra.
