National Sales Manager

The National Account Manager identifies and establishes partnerships with distributors to support the sales of Summit VetPharm products to veterinarians by promoting sales and providing education to veterinary distributors.

Location

East Coast preferred but flexible

Responsibilities

The National Account Manager identifies and establishes partnerships with distributors to support the sales of Summit VetPharm products to veterinarians by promoting sales and providing education to veterinary distributors.

Responsibilities include: contract negotiation with senior executives of the authorized distributors, promoting and selling, training and coaching of the distributor sales representatives.  Additional responsibilities include assisting in the establishment of sales goals, incentives and marketing promotions that will achieve mutual sales goals.  The National Account Manager will define and operate within appropriate expense budgets.

The candidate we seek will be charged with creating action and development plans, and submitting sales and expense forecasts for accounts. Motivating, guiding and providing education to distributor sales representatives is critical to success in the position as is maintaining a proficient knowledge of the industry and competitor products. 


As a strategic member of the Summit VetPharm sales team you will be expected to contribute to the company’s future strategic direction and growth.

 

Qualifications

Min 8-10 years companion animal field sales experience including at least 3-5 years sales management or distributor management experience is required. Experience with parasiticide product sales a plus. Demonstrated understanding of selling, negotiating, finance,  training, coaching and managing others is a must. Selling skills, outstanding account planning and management strategies are critical for the position.  Must be both a team leader as well as a
team leader.
